Ave Maria's Faith formation program seeks to lead children and youth in grades K-8 to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through their learning about Him in the sacraments, prayer, doctrinal, and moral teachings of the Church. Small classes with qualified and enthusiastic catechists help parents to fulfill their responsibility to educate their children in the Christian faith.
Classes meet Sundays from mid-September through mid-April from 11:15am-12:15pm at Donahue Academy. Deepen your knowledge of the faith, strengthen your relationship with Jesus Christ and learn practical, down-to-earth ways for anyone to put their faith in action by joining our adult faith formation classes.
Registration for our K-8 program is accepted at any time throughout the year. Please follow the link below to register online. On a limited basis we may be able to accommodate high school teens in our regular program.
If you have questions about the program, please contact Becky Hampton at becky.h(at)avemariaparish.org or register online at: ParishSoft
Introducing “A Family of Faith” for a family-oriented approach to catechesis. This program encourages and equips parents to live their role as the primary catechists of their children. Through monthly parent sessions, monthly family meetings, and program materials for at-home catechesis. “A Faith of Faith” supports families, provides parents the opportunity to grow in their faith, and works to build a community of faith and Catholic life.
Parents meetings are the First Tuesday of the month from 7-9pm in the Parish Hall. Family meetings days and times vary based on the activity.
“A Family of Faith” can be used for first year First Communion Preparation for first graders, and for the Faith Formation portion of second year First Communion Preparation in limited circumstances. Children in the second year of First Communion Preparation will still need to register for and attend the Sunday morning First Communion Preparation class. For more information contact Becky Hampton at becky.h(at)avemariaparish.org.
